Sensory Coordination Service

“Thank you so much for listening to me talk on.   I know you’re probably very busy.  It makes such a difference when someone actually wants to help, thank you so much.”

Our Sensory Co-ordination Services’ role is to respond to all enquiries by telephone, textphone, SMS, email, post or any other route.  Our response is person-centred and based on a conversation rather than a script or checklist and we will take as long as you need to assist you with your enquiry.

We are here from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and will assist with a wide range of sensory topics, and sometimes non-sensory too!  You can contact us if you feel you need to talk to someone about your sensory needs but are not sure where to go or who does what.  We will do our best to help you resolve any issues you may have and signpost or refer you to the correct departments or organisations if needed.

Our Co-ordination Service is developing into an all age provision and so over the coming few months we will be increasing our knowledge of services and support to children and young people.  This will enable us to appropriately support all requests for information, advice or guidance regardless of age.

“I’m so relieved someone is helping me now.  I had been so worried about how to manage all the care needs for my daughter and I didn’t know where to get any thing sorted out to do with her benefits.  I didn’t know who to turn to. But I feel I have a better idea of what’s going on now, you have been such a huge support thank you so much”

Following are examples of the types of things our team can help with:

“I just want you all to know what a fabulous service that you provide.  On Tuesday 5th September I  phoned to report a fault with my Mum’s “Bed Shaker.”  On Thursday 7th September a lovely guy checked it out and installed a new one for her.  This is truly exemplary service – thank you SO much.”

Mrs S – Brentwood

“I have had more information from you than I have from anyone else I have tried to talk to combined.   I will definitely be calling back if I have any problems, and thank you for thinking of us as carers as well as his needs also.”
