New e-book launched in Deafblind Awareness Week
A fantastic collection of stories about the experiences of those who are living with deafblindness has been launched in an e-book this week.
The Local Authority Deafblind Workers Interest Group (LAWDIG) worked in partnership with Skills for Care to produce the e-book titled ‘Personal accounts of living with sensory loss in 2019.’ This was launched on the 25th June by Marsha De Cordova MP – Shadow Minister for Disabled People.
Skills for Care stated “we hope the e-book will influence and enlighten decision makers, commissioners and the wider public on what it means to live with sensory loss.”
Essex resident Rose is featured in amongst many powerful stories. Please do download your copy here: Deafblind-e-book
